Yeyyyyy šÆāāļø . Itās my very first #DearDesigner post š š š š !
Letās talk about MINIMALISM!
Dear Designer,
Minimalism is not just a pretty/buzzword we like to toss around to sound sleek and sophisticated ā It is actually a thing, a core principle in design and itās worth paying attention to.
I get it. Youāve crafted that screen with pride š , harnessing all the art and creativity you could muster, brilliantly squeezing a 1000 things into one screen. Itās your masterpiece! But I can tell you for free, while you see art, your users are seeing⦠chaos šµāš« š¤Æ .
Studies have shown that the more options you throw at users, the longer theyāll take to make a decision ā or worse, theyāll just give up.
So yes, minimalism makes the screen clean, clear, and somewhat āprettyā, but more importantly, itās about GUIDING users to the right choices with clarity and ease. So, keep things focused. Include what truly matters on each screen, let the design breathe, and trust that less really does achieve more. š¬ļø
